It’s been quite a while since I last wrote a poem. Here is today’s creation. 😊

Reflections
This week’s Word Press photo challenge is “Mirror”. Feeling inspired by the concept of reflections, I wrote this short poem.
Heal our world
Don’t want to watch the news today,
Wish this pain and suffering would go away.
Hate and terror, army coups,
We humans don’t know what to do.
So we pray and cry to God above,
To let the world be filled with love,
Understanding, hope and peace.
Our hearts go out to Turkey, Syria and Nice.
Moonless night
The sun sets,
Night slowly falls,
And darkness closes in.
Endless.
Begin to feel lost, alone and afraid,
On a moonless night.
When, one by one,
The stars start to shine
Tiny dots of light
In the vast blackness surrounding you,
Reassurance and hope
That all is not lost
And tomorrow will be brighter.
Aimless
Aimlessly wandering from place to place.
Where am I going? What am I doing? What am I looking for?
Not knowing the answer to these questions matters not to me.
As long as the journey continues to be interesting, fun and free!
When troubles come, I hold onto hope that they will soon pass.
And continue roaming through life aimlessly, because staying still just isn’t for me!
